Bring Google Fiber to Pittsburgh!

19 03 2010

Google is looking for a city to test its new, ultrafast internet connection Google Fiber. Pittsburgh is vying to be the selected city, and as a Pittsburgh company, we want to encourage our fellow Pittsburghers to click the link below and vote for Google Fiber in Pittsburgh! (How many times can I say Pittsburgh?!? Keep reading. Just a few times more.)

Pittsburgh is full of knowledge thirsty students, pioneering, technology focused companies, and endless possibilities for the future. Google Fiber will help to entice students to stay, increase the viability of Pittsburgh, encourage companies to connect and innovate, and whatever else Pittsburgh can dream up. A 1 gigabit/second (100x faster than what Pittsburgh has now!) internet connection will not go to waste in Pittsburgh.

Go tell Google we want Google Fiber!

Pittsburgh DOES NOT need fiber. Pennsylvania has been experiencing negative population growth (decline) for decades. In my opinion, Google should becareful about who to provide fiber and only give to those areas of the country that are experiencing growth or high potential, although very few of those these days. It would be a wasted investment for Google as Pittsburgh economic future is on the path to Detroit. Democrats have destroyed this place and they keep getting voted back in.

“Pittsburgh is full of knowledge thirsty students, pioneering, technology focused companies, and endless possibilities for the future.” Yikes!

There are talented (“thirsty”?) students everywhere in our country, but those who stay in Pittsburgh my find themselves starving unless they move elsewhere for a job. This actually helps Pittsburgh unemployment because people simply move away.

“pioneering” – ??????

“Technology focused companies” – not many of those. Just wait until obama-care kicks in and Pittsburgh’s medical industry will be going down the toilet too.

“endless possibilities for the future” No, the end is near unfortunately for the city. After the Pittsburgh steel industry collapsed (thanks to the unions) , there has never been a significant high tech industry to replace it. Companies are scared to death to move into the state of Pennsylvania because it’s a businesses unfriendly environment with the high taxes and threat of unions.

Don’t worry ya’all, Pittsburgh will do fine with dial-up 🙂

this topic. You realize a whole lot its almost tough to argue with you (not that I actually would want to…HaHa).
You certainly put a new spin on a topic that has
been discussed for years. Wonderful stuff, just wonderful!
